The incident took place around 10.30 pm when five to six Swiggy delivery partners were standing near their motorcycles at a roadside pickup point.

Gurugram witnessed a shocking incident late Sunday night after a man allegedly ran over a group of Swiggy delivery riders with his SUV in Sector 93’s Hayatpur area. One delivery executive was critically injured, while others narrowly escaped.
The incident took place around 10.30 pm when five to six Swiggy delivery partners were standing near their motorcycles at a roadside pickup point. Eyewitnesses said a black Mahindra Scorpio, being driven at high speed, suddenly swerved towards the riders and hit them.
When the delivery executives objected to the reckless driving, the situation escalated. The driver allegedly turned the vehicle around and deliberately drove over the riders who had fallen on the road. One of the delivery partners, identified as Tinku Pawar, a resident of Rewari, came under the wheels of the SUV and suffered severe injuries. The others managed to move aside in time.
After the incident, the driver fled the spot. The injured riders immediately alerted the police. Police teams reached the location and rushed Tinku Pawar to a nearby hospital. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, including trauma to the head, chest, and legs, he was later shifted to Rewari for advanced treatment. Doctors have described his condition as critical, and he is currently admitted to the ICU.
A CCTV video of the incident has surfaced, reportedly showing the SUV mowing down the delivery riders, strengthening allegations that the act was deliberate.
Following the incident, several Swiggy delivery partners gathered at the Sector 93 police outpost on Monday, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. Police sources said the Scorpio involved in the incident has been recovered, though no official confirmation has been issued yet.
Police officials stated that the matter is under investigation and assured that further details would be shared soon. The incident has sparked outrage among delivery workers, who have demanded strict action against the accused and better safety measures for delivery personnel.
