A event has emerged from Ludhiana, where an individual posing as a waiter stole a bag containing gold jewelry at a shagun ceremony taking place at a resort. It is claimed that the jewelry taken amounted to Rs 1 crore.
An incident was recorded in the venue’s CCTV cameras, and a police investigation is currently in progress regarding this issue. According to reports, the event occurred on Sunday afternoon during a shagun ceremony held for the daughter of a jeweller from Ludhiana. The event was occurring at the Sterling Palace located on Pakhowal Road.
According to reports, the accused took advantage of the guests attending the ceremony by sneaking into the venue while they were preoccupied with food and other celebration activities as waiters. While examining the CCTV footage, a man dressed in a white shirt and black trousers entered the venue at approximately 5:00 PM.
The prosecution claims that prior to the crime, the accused had conducted surveillance of the area.
Upon hearing about the incident, the bride to be’s relatives notified the palace administration, and subsequently, the police were also alerted. Upon arriving at the location, the police secured the palace and held the staff on-site for interrogation. Currently, the police have not obtained any leads in the investigation and are analyzing the CCTV footage to solve the case.
