Across the Northern states in India, kite flying is seen as a cultural ritual on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi (the onset of Spring season). However, the rain and cloudy weather has deeply saddened the youth.
Kite flying enthusiasts have been counting the seconds and minutes, and have kept an eye on minute to minute weather updates. They are wishing for the rain to pause so they can continue with kite flying.

Where on the day of Basant Panchmi, the skies used to be colorful extending the joyous spirit of celebrations and new beginnings around. This year, it is completely opposite, leaving the youth on such an occasion in a non festive mood.
Jalandhar’s Weather Prediction
As per Google’s weather forecast, the rain chances are 90% at 1:00pm. However, it has dipped to 70% and 40% probability at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm respectively.
Notably, at 4:00 pm, the conditions are seen cloudy with 13 degrees temperature. The forecast predicts rain and cloudy conditions with temperatures dipping between 7°C and 17°C.
