As per the information received, three of eighteen officers will receive the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while fifteen will be awarded for the Meritorious Service.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has named Eighteen Punjab Police Officers to honor with the President’s medal on Republic Day.
As per the information received, three of eighteen officers will receive the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while fifteen will be awarded for the Meritorious Service. Notably, former Punjab DIG Inderjit Sidhu will be honored with the Padma Shri in recognition for the social service.
The honor to him is to be provided for the contribution in keeping the city clean.

As three of eighteen officials are to be honored for Distinguished Service, these are; Vibhu Raj, IPS, ADGP Investigation (Lokpal), Lakshmee Kant Yadav, IPS, Director, BOI, Arun Pal Singh, IPS, ADGP, Jails.
While congratulating the awardees, DIG Punjab Gaurav Yadav expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for recognizing the services of these officers.
Significantly, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann will hoist flag in Hoshiarpur while in Fazilka, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will hoist.
