Two sisters allegedly consumed poison on Saturday, hours before getting married in a double wedding ceremony. Both the deceased have been identified as Shobha and Vimla.
Shobha reportedly was 25 years old and Vimla was 23 years old. Their family found them unconscious and immediately took them to a private hospital in Jodhpur. Unfortunately, the doctors declared both dead.
ADCP (West) Roshan Meena while talking to the media persons mentioned that the wedding celebrations continued until late Friday night. Around midnight, both the brides went to sleep. When police received information about the incident, they reached the spot and stopped the funeral preparations.
The bodies were sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination and then handed over to the family.
Reports reveal that the sisters may have died after consuming a poisonous. However, exact cause of the death have not yet been confirmed. The cause will be revealed after the post-mortem report is live.
Notably, there has been found no suicide note at the scene.
