Three Jalandhar teenage girls have been missing since Monday. It has come to light that the girls were residing in the Sundar Nagar Area. This has made the families of girls tensed.
Reports claim that the girls are aged between 13 and 16. Two of the missing are sisters, however, third one is a neighbour. All three of them are school girls. The families of the girls got to know about it when they returned from work last evening.
Following the incident, CCTV footages of nearby areas were examined where the missing girls were found walking out on their own at 1:30 pm.
The family informed the police about the situation at the Division Number 8 police station at 9 pm on Monday. Police units tracked the CCTV footage to search for the girls. ACP North Ashok Meena stated, “Our teams are pursuing the leads, and we are optimistic about being able to locate them and bring them to safety shortly.”
Police sources indicated that the girls had arrived in a neighboring state where teams have been sent.
The sisters’ parents stated, “We both are employed at a factory in Gadaipur.” We were unaware of our daughters leaving the house until returning from work, reported it to the police, and examined the CCTV footage. We simply wish for their safe return home as soon as possible.”
