Air India brings back 149 Stranded Indians and 140 Crew Members stranded in Dubai

The special mission under which the Indians are brought back India from Dubai was aimed at helping people who were stuck there as regular flights were cancelled, diverted and rerouted.

As the conflict between Israel and Iran heats up, Air India, today brought 149 Indian nationals to home who were stuck in Dubai. Reports claim that the flight, AI916D, landed at Delhi airport before 11:00 am.

The special mission under which the Indians are brought back India from Dubai was aimed at helping people who were stuck there as regular flights were cancelled, diverted and rerouted.

It was not only passengers who were stuck, either. Earlier that morning, another flight brought back over 140 Air India crew members who had been grounded in Dubai due to the chaos.

For the successful operation, Air India teams had to work around the clock with Dubai airport authorities to find a safe window to fly. For now, the airline is watching the situation closely and trying to see if they can run more of these rescue flights, provided they get the safety clearances to do so.
