DSP Yogesh Kumar was fatally shot by his service revolver at his official residence in Phagwara on Monday morning. Based on preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 7:30 AM close to the Sadar Police Station area, and it is stated that the bullet struck him in the chest, after which he was quickly taken to Johal Hospital in Jalandhar, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
