AAP Workers target Harbhajan Singh after BJP Move, calls him ‘Gaddar’

Aam Aadmi Party members on Saturday staged protest outside the home of MP and cricketer Harbhajan Singh, as well as at the Lovely Professional University managed by MP Ashok Mittal.

The two leaders, along with five additional MPs, left AAP to join the BJP on Friday.

AAP workers, headed by Mayor Vaneet Dhir and Jalandhar Central halqa incharge Nitin Kohli, gathered outside Bhajji’s residence in the Chhoti Baradari area of Jalandhar. The workers brought placards labeling both leaders as traitors. They also wrote the word ‘gaddar’ on a wall outside his home.

Outside Bhajji’s residence, they yelled “Bhajji BJP ch bhaj gya.” They yelled, those who have betrayed the party should feel some shame.

A significant police presence was observed outside both locations as the protestors kept raising their voice. “Jalandhar residents have always taken pride in Bhajji because of his sports achievements. The AAP showed him the respect he deserved, but he abandoned the party,” said protestors.
