A strange incident has shaken the public after a Nagpur man was arrested in the early weeks of August for allegedly targeting liquor shops and beer bars across the city. A man is justifying his actions by claiming to “teach the owners a lesson.”
As per the sources, the man lost his father two years back due to alcohol. He states that his father was an addict, the family even faced much financial crisis. He views that all those problems were due to the alcohol selling activity of vendors. He says, all the financial crisis and his father’s death connects to it.
The accused has been identified as Raja Khan, originally known as Raja Amravati. In the early days of August, a bar owner, Nilesh Devani filed a complaint against him and the CCTV footage led to the identification of an accused.
While the action has been taken by the police officials, information reveals that his father reportedly passed away a few years back due to excessive alcohol consumption and financial strain. After the authorities interrogated him, he mentioned that his actions were motivated by revenge.
He added that he targeted bars and alcohol shops to express his anger and take revenge for his father’s death.
What are the charges on an accused “Raja Amravati”?
Raja Amravati, an accused, has been charged for multiple theft cases. The reports reveal that he allegedly carried out thefts at eight liquor shops and bars of Nagpur. One incident of July 31, 2025 has also come into notice, stating he, including cash, looted bar objects.
To be precise, he looted the bar objects worth INR 40,000 and cash worth INR 36,000 along with several packets of cigarettes. In the CCTV footage, an accused was seen entering the property by lifting shutters.
The footage became evidence to find out the culprit. Officials claim that they delved into investigations after the liquor shop owners complained about the incident.
