A distressed resident of Kharar has shared a video on Facebook, extending an appeal to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann to take note of the conditions of roads in Landra, Mohali.
In the video, a resident introduced himself with the phrase “Main Kharar Bolda, Landra Road te Bolda.” Through a video, he continuously is trying to convey his message to Punjab’s government to check the conditions of roads.
He took the names of the Mayor, MC, MP, MLA and asked the question: when is the plane to work on the roads. In the visuals, he has shown the conditions of roads, waterlogging after the rains. The potholes have even made it riskier to go through the roads.
The tanker overturned at the road due to the road conditions. This has blocked the road, has made it difficult to continue the movement. A resident in the video added that Kharar is Mohali’s main city, still in such condition. It noted that it is not any backward area that could be neglected.
Public Reaction on Video
After Kharar’s resident raised his voice over the concern, people from other areas taking to the comment section started noting the conditions of the state. They are highlighting the needs of development.
One of the netizens quoted, “Trust me, it’s not about Kharar’s roads. Take a drive from Nangal to Kiratpur Sahib, and then Bharatgarh Road to Dabhota. If you think you can handle it, go ahead and try – but be warned, these roads are a real challenge.”
Another user wrote, “ Bhagwant Mann doing zero work for road repair or new roads. Every district is suffering from such problems.”
AAP Faces Continuous Backlash
“This is the story of Punjab. Experimenting with AAP and its policies has proved to be disastrous for Punjab. It’s a horribly gone dead end future for this once blessed land,” quoted one of the netizens.
The AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) led government is facing straight and continuous backlash as the conditions of Punjab are worsening every passing day. People are claiming that they trusted AAP, however, the government has disappointed the expectations of the public.
Recently, torrential rains have gripped the Punjab and the Flood like situations have devastated many of the cities. People are questioning the authorities, where were their participation for the evacuations.
It also has ahead that after much criticism got reported, the authorities at least revealed their presence. But, still no major step was taken to address the concerns.
