Last month, Google launched a new update to its Gemini AI app. It received the latest version of Gemini 2.5 Flash Image large language model, code-named Nano Banana. To create such images, it is required to have the latest version.

As it gets updated, the users can generate their images using the reimagine feature.

The Gemini app can help users switch their outfit and even the background scene in a few seconds. Users can upload their own image or the pet and ask Gemini to reimagine the photo.

For instance, users can prompt, turn my pet into a figurine in a toy box in mint condition. It will generate a fun photo-realistic image of the pet dog in an action figure tucked in a see-through retail package.

The Nano Banana tool is developed by Google’s DeepMind team, the brains behind the Gemini AI models.

Since then, the Gemini app’s image generation tool has gained immense popularity worldwide. Be it on Instagram or on the X platform, the ‘Nano Banana’ tool has become a rage among netizens.

As per the latest reports, Gemini AI app downloads breached the 10 million mark worldwide within a few days after the launch of the new tool. As noted, the image generation feature is available on the Gemini AI app on both Android and iOS platforms. Also, users can head to Google AI Studio and try it on their computer or in their phone’s browser app.

At the beginning, Google’s tool was able to produce images of celebrities for prompts such as selfies with movie actors or cricket stars such as Virat Kohli. But, due to possible misuse of such photos, the Google Nano Banana tool avoids generating such pictures.

As you can see from the sample picture above, the Gemini AI app doesn’t show any real Indian cricketers’ faces in the photo. Instead, show synthetically generated people with cricket team jerseys. However, it continues to generate Virat Kohli images and a few select celebrities.

People can use their creativity to generate good-quality pictures. One can take inspiration from fellow netizens on social media platforms, to generate the photos.
