Jitendra’s spouse filed a complaint against the survivor’s father, leading to the police filing an FIR.

Delhi Police on Monday apprehended the father of the 20-year-old acid attack survivor, who was reportedly assaulted by a stalker and his two accomplices.
Aqeel, the father of the victim, was apprehended in Sangam Vihar and interrogated regarding the rape and blackmail allegations made by the spouse of Jitendra, the accused in the acid attack case.
Jitendra’s spouse filed a complaint against the survivor’s father, leading to the police filing an FIR.
The police interrogated him regarding the claimed acid attack on her daughter, given that they have prima facie evidence suggesting the accused was not at the crime scene.
The police found the victim’s story questionable since she exited the e-rickshaw 200 metres before the gate of Laxmibai College, where the incident reportedly occurred.
The news agency PTI previously reported sources indicating that no acid was discovered by the police at the suspected crime scene. Aqeel has been detained, and provisions of the IT Act have been applied.
Jitendra’s spouse has claimed that she previously worked for Aqeel and that he sexually assaulted her. She also claimed that Aqeel filmed the video and extorted her.
