It’s been over a day since three thieves pulled off a heist at Vijay Jewellers in Jalandhar’s Bhargav Camp. They know who the suspects are, but police have not caught them or gotten the stuff back yet.
The women in the Vijay Jewellers family showed up at the police station Friday. They were in anger that the robbers had not been arrested. So, they protested right outside the station. One woman protesting said, Give us back our things. Where else can we go? How else can we pay our bills? The women shut the station doors as a form of protest.
The family wants justice, or they’re planning a sit-down protest. They said after they protested outside the Bhargava Camp Police Station, the ACP called them to his office. The shop owner said the station officer told him to come to the station at 11 am yesterday and promised the suspect would be arrested by 11 am today. When he got there, nobody was around. The station boss wasn’t there either.

One of them has a disability. Reports say the three robbers grabbed 850 grams of gold jewelry and 2.25 lakh rupees in cash from Vijay Jewellers in Bhargava Camp’s main market. They did it super fast, in just minutes. The jewelry alone is worth 95,11,500 rupees.
They got away with around 97 lakh rupees. Shop owner Ajay said the thieves took eight gold sets, 12 gold chains, a bracelet, and two women’s items.
