Punjab Government to Hold ‘Pensioner Sewa Mela’ from November 13–15 for e-KYC Registration

The objective of event is to aid all state government pensioners in completing required e-KYC process, so they can register in recently launched Pensioner Sewa Portal.

Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, Finance Minister of Punjab, on Tuesday announced that the Punjab Government will conduct the ‘Pensioner Sewa Mela’ at all District Treasury Offices across Punjab from November 13 to November 15, 2025.

The objective of the event is to aid all state government pensioners in completing the required e-KYC process, so they can register in the recently launched Pensioner Sewa Portal.

The Finance Minister noted that the Punjab Government initialized this one-spot digital platform for accessing all pension related services on November 3, 2025.

He mentioned that e-KYC is required for pensioners to sign up on the portal. “Every pensioner is encouraged to go to their closest District Treasury Office during the Mela to sign up and to enjoy uninterrupted digital pension services,” he stated.

The portal, available at https://pensionersewa.punjab.gov.in, will initially provide six essential services to pensioners

This service involves the submission of the digital life certificate via the ‘Jeevan Pramaan’ mobile app, applying for conversion of pension into family pension, applying for Leave Travel Concession (LTC), lodging grievances regarding pension, and updating/changing pensioner’s personal information.

Finance Minister Cheema added that obtaining these services is straightforward and easy to use. Pensioners can enroll on the Pensioner Sewa Portal by performing e-KYC via the Aadhar authentication options provided on the portal.

After registering, they can utilize these services conveniently from home by using their login IDs on the portal via their mobile phones, PCs, or laptops. Moreover, these services can be accessed by going to the closest Sewa Kendras, asking for home delivery of the service, the relevant Pension Disbursing banks, or the District Treasury Offices.

To promptly address complaints that surface following the portal’s launch, a specialized War Room has been created at the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Pension, and New Pension Scheme.

Three specific helpline numbers, 18001802148, 01722996385, and 01722996386, have been established at the Directorate level and are available on all working days from 9 AM to 5 PM to handle pensioner complaints
