No new patrons will be permitted to enter the restaurant, club, or any dining and drinking venue after 11:30 pm.

To ensure law and order while avoiding any unfortunate incidents, Jalandhar Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur has issued new directives regarding the hours of restaurants and other food establishments.
According to CP Kaur’s recent directives, all restaurants, clubs, and other licensed eating and drinking venues must close by midnight.
The directives additionally specify that no food or drink orders will be taken after 11:30 pm at any restaurant, club, or similar eating and drinking venue within the boundaries of the Police Commissionerate.
Additionally, no new patrons will be permitted to enter the restaurant, club, or any dining and drinking venue after 11:30 pm.
Establishments next to liquor stores must shut down entirely by midnight or according to the license’s terms.
The orders require that all venues comply with a noise level of 10 dB(A). The directions also state that all sources of noise, including DJs and live orchestras/cabaret singers, are to be turned off or reduced by 10 p.m.
After 10 p.m., any noise created inside any building or premises cannot be audible beyond its property lines.
For vehicles with music systems, it is essential to ensure that the sound produced by the music system remains inaudible from outside the vehicle at all times of the day.
This directive will stay valid until January 7, 2026.
The Police Commissioner, utilizing the authority granted by Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Act, 2023 and Rule No. 32 of the Arms Rules, 2016, has enacted an absolute prohibition on the possession and exhibition of weapons by individuals in public and religious locations, as well as in marriage venues/hotels/halls, etc.
The orders further specify that no individual is permitted to share images or video recordings of songs that advocate for weapons, violence, or the glorification of weapons on social media sites like Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Instagram.
