Punjab state is still grappling with the shocking incident of a 13-year-old minor girl rape and murder in Jalandhar West, and now another atrocious crime has surfaced. A 19-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly raping a 6-year-old girl. The incident happened in a village close to Samrala in the Punjab region.
Harvinder Singh, the police station house officer of Samrala, reported that the police got a call last night and accordingly arrived at the location. The 19-year-old man who has been apprehended is known as Jaskaran. Jaskaran is a relative of the minor victim’s family.
“Last night, we got a call. In the village heard of a 6-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by a man. The police are detaining a culprit involved in the case. The individual taken to custody is Jaskaran Singh, S/O Baljeet Singh. The person arrested is 19 years old. The person is a relative of the girl who was affected.”
A point which needs to be made is that the dastardly crime Samrala has been exposed when the people of Punjab are fuming with rage over the incident happened at Jalandhar West on November 22.
For the unversed, a 13-year-old girl was raped and murdered by her friend’s father in the neighborhood. The victim had gone to the neighbour’s house to play with the accused Harminder Singh aka Rimpy’s daughter. However, Rimpy’s daughter was not at home that time.
Despite, Rimpy’s supposed invitation of the minor girl 13 years old to the house by stating that his daughter is inside. Later, he committed the atrocious act. At the moment, Rimpy is under Police detention. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has promised to ensure the trial of the case in a fast-track court and to demand the death penalty for the accused in order for the family of the victim to get justice in due time.
