The apprehended suspect has been recognized as Rajat Kumar, also known as Rajan, who lives in Jansua village, Patiala.
Police officials and the Anti-Gang Task Force on November 12 arrested two shooters working for Goldy Dhillon and Mandeep Spain, suspected foreign-based gangsters, while conducting a linkage investigation into their operation.
In a separate incident on November 26, police and AGTF personnel arrested four shooters after exchanging gunfire on the Dera Bassi-Ambala highway. During this incident, two police officers were struck in their vests and two suspects were wounded in return fire.
Seven pistols and seventy rounds of ammunition were located within the suspects’ possession, according to Mohali’s Senior Superintendent of Police Harman Deep Singh Hans on Thursday.

Following the previous arrests of six operatives in two distinct police operations, additional backward-linkage investigations were carried out by a special team led by Dera Bassi DSP Bikramjit Singh Brar to point out other members.
Throughout the inquiry, Rajat Kumar’s involvement became apparent, indicating that he was aiding in transportation, organizing housing, and supplying arms to fellow operatives. The police arrested the suspect close to the Dera Bassi bus stand yesterday afternoon.
The SSP mentioned that the defendant has a criminal history with two prior cases related to theft and Arms Act violations filed against him in Punjab and Haryana. Initial inquiries have shown that he interacted with gang members while incarcerated in 2019 and had recently been operating directly under the orders of his handler, Mandeep (Spain), an associate of gangster Goldy Dhillon.
According to the SSP, The individual was wanted for an FIR No. 0345, dated 26th November 2025 under :- Section 109, 111, 221, 132, and 3(5) of BNS; and Section 25 of the Arms Act at Dera Bassi Police Station.
Additionally, Sau (70 %) of Goldy Dhillon, had been arrested, bringing the total to seven in this ongoing operation, and two of the total have also been recovered. 9 Pistol and 8 + 9 Live cartridges.
