Lal Lakir Residents to get Property Rights under Punjab Govt’s ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ Scheme

Through this, families will own their properties and will therefore not need to deal with issues concerning property disputes or bureaucracy. 

Major updates have come for those living in the Lal Lakir neighborhood. Reports indicate that through the “Mera Ghar Mere Naam” initiative initiated by the Punjab government, resident of the Lal Lakir and Abadi Deh regions of the state are receiving legal title to their residences

This project aims to provide ownership documents for long-term tenants living in poor conditions, thereby providing these families with peace of mind as they will no longer worry about their titles. 

Once the process is complete, these families will own their properties and will therefore not need to deal with issues concerning property disputes or bureaucracy. 

This initiative will serve to enhance social justice through improved security for the economically disadvantaged and middle class, while also providing enhanced transparency in land/housing systems for the community as a whole.
