Investigating Officer Assistant Sub Inspector Balbir Singh stated that he has started an investigation into the incident’s cause.

A large fire broke out Tuesday night in a warehouse that belongs to the Jammu-Katra Expressway construction crew in the Talwandi Chaudhrian area of the Kapurthala District, about 45 kilometers from Amritsar. The estimated damage is around Rs 2 crore.
The local fire department sent multiple units to the scene, where they quickly brought the fire under control. Talwandi Chaudhrian police officers provided assistance in fighting the fire.
Investigating Officer Assistant Sub Inspector Balbir Singh stated that he has started an investigation into the incident’s cause.
Store Manager Mandeep Singh for the SP Singla Construction Company indicates that the warehouse was closed and all lights were turned off by 7 PM. By 8 PM, the security guard noticed smoke coming from the building and contacted Mandeep Singh, but by the time Singh arrived on-site, the flames had spread quickly.
Mandeep Singh suspects that a short circuit caused the fire and states that the loss of expensive chemicals inside the warehouse has resulted in significant financial damage. The police are conducting an active investigation into the incident, and actions will occur based on the outcome of that investigation.
