A video from the scene showed him soaked in blood while struggling to make the phone call. A passerby attempted to stop the bleeding using a cloth, and local residents immediately called for an ambulance.
However, relatives alleged that the ambulance arrived late, and by the time medical help reached the spot, Hosamani had already succumbed to his injuries. The family accused the authorities of negligence, claiming that the delay cost him his life.
Following the incident, angry family members and local residents staged a protest at the accident site, demanding strict action against the use of nylon kite strings and better emergency response services.
Police said a case has been registered at the Manna Ekhelli Police Station, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
