Reports reveal that Radhika was playing in the street when the driver allegedly failed to notice her and, while turning the car, ran over her.
A tragic incident has been reported from Jalandhar where a 7 year old girl was crushed to death by a car while playing outsider her home in Guru Nanak Pura, near Chaugiti, Jalandhar.
The deceased has been identified as Radhika and the accused as per the reports has come to the area from Moga to visit relatives.
Reports reveal that Radhika was playing in the street when the driver allegedly failed to notice her and, while turning the car, ran over her. The girl reportedly died at the scene.
Following the incident, residents immediately informed the police who immediately reached the spot. They registered a case against the driver under Sections 281 and 106 of the BNS and began furthur investigations.
Reportedly, the accused driver has been identified as 45 year old Jaswinder Pal Singh from Moga. The Police have seized his vehicle.
Investigations revealed that the driver had returned after 30 years to visit relatives. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, which shows the girl playing in the street while the driver was reversing and turning his car.
