The officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) have mentioned that such change has come considering the major effect of intense summer heat.

There have been announced a revised schedule of the Beating Retreat Ceremony at the Attari-Wagah Border. This change reportedly will be effective on Friday.
As per the new schedule announced, the ceremony will now take place from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. The earlier time slot for such ceremony was from 5:30pm to 6:00pm.
Following this change, the officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) have mentioned that such change has come considering the major effect of intense summer heat. The changes in the timings for such usually are made in response to the changing daylight patterns and seasonal weather conditions.
Every evening, the Beating Retreat Ceremony is conducted as Border closing Parade by the Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers. The event draws thousands of visitors daily, inducing from across the country abroad, who gather at the Attari joint check to witness the spectacle.
Authorities have advised visitors to arrive well in advance to fully experience this ceremony. The Retreat Ceremony at Attari continues to stand as one of India’s most powerful symbols of national pride, discipline, and the deep emotional bond citizens share with their nation’s borders.
