SAD vowed to lower the industrial power tariff to Rs 5 per unit to enhance manufacturing and investment within the state.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders have revealed a set of proposals aimed at industry and employment in anticipation of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, asserting that if elected, the party would implement significant economic reforms.
Speaking to reporters in Phagwara, district trade wing chief Sukhbir Singh Kinra and industry wing head Harvinder Singh Lovely Walia stated, “Under Sukhbir Singh Badal’s leadership, the party is dedicated to enhancing Punjab’s industrial sector and creating significant job opportunities.”
The officials stated that sectors hiring 75 percent local employees would obtain unique benefits under the Akali Dal administration. They additionally vowed to lower the industrial power tariff to Rs 5 per unit to enhance manufacturing and investment within the state.
Kinra and Walia also declared the establishment of a 200-acre skill development university in Ludhiana to train skilled workers for the bicycle, hosiery, and auto parts sectors.
The Akali leaders accused the Aam Aadmi Party, Indian National Congress, and Bharatiya Janata Party of failing Punjab, claiming that true development occurred solely under Akali governance, and expressed belief that the public would once more back the party in the 2027 elections.
