Delhi Police presented him to judicial magistrate Animesh Kumar at the Patiala House Courts after completing his five-day police custody.

A court in Delhi on Friday placed self-proclaimed godman Chaitanyananda Saraswati in judicial custody for 14 days.
Delhi Police presented him to judicial magistrate Animesh Kumar at the Patiala House Courts after completing his five-day police custody. Authorities requested judicial custody for Chaitanyananda, who is charged with molesting 17 female students at a private management college in this location.
His attorney filed a request for the provision of the seizure memo and the case diaries, which the court granted. The court requested a reply from the police regarding additional applications for wearing monk robes, supplying medicines, and providing “sanyasi” food.
The 62-year-old was arrested in Agra on September 28.
Previously, authorities seized Rs 8 crore associated with Saraswati, held in various bank accounts and fixed deposits.
As per the FIR, Saraswati, a former head of the management institute in southwest Delhi, supposedly compelled female students to come to his room late at night and transmitted inappropriate text messages to them during unusual hours.
He reportedly monitored the students’ movements using a CCTV app installed on his phone.
The inquiry uncovered that the accused supposedly employed various names and details to manage several bank accounts and withdrew more than Rs 50 lakh after the FIR was filed against him.
He allegedly provided documents with different details when the account was created.
The police discovered counterfeit visiting cards linked to him that indicated his affiliation with the United Nations and BRICS.
