ADCP-2 Paramjit Singh has announced the arrest of Ravi Kumar alias Kaalu, who is a resident of Dhariwal Kadian, under Police Station Lambra in Jalandhar (Rural) area.

A significant progress for Jalandhar Police has been made as the youth ‘Kaalu’ who was allegedly involved in the stabbing to death of Sheetal Angural’s nephew was nabbed by police. On the previous night, Vikas, Sheetal Angural’s nephew, former Jalandhar West MLA & BJP leader, was stabbed to death following an argument with Kaalu and two other suspects. The happening took place in Shivaji Nagar of Basti Danishmandan locality.
ADCP-2 Paramjit Singh reported that the arrest has been made of Ravi Kumar alias Kaalu, the son of Roop Lal, who is a resident of Dhariwal Kadian from Police Station Lambra, Jalandhar (Rural). The Police Station Division No. 5 lodged an FIR against him under the Sections 103(1), 351(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The hunt for other suspects is still on. Other investigations are going on.
What did Sheetal Angural say on his nephew’s murder?
Sheetal Angural purported the alleged incident where his nephew was murdered by Kaalu who was under the influence of high doses of drugs. Kaalu and two others who were with him were also inebriated. The BJP leader also shared the fact that his nephew was crying out for help but not a single person came to assist him.
Angural expressed, “Kalu, a boy, along with some other people, went to a rally. The rally wrapped up around 5:30 to 6:30 in the evening. After this, he had alcohol with his peers, took drugs that were above his blast limit, and lost control, and they went on and killed Vikas.”
Angural claimed that Kalu had previously launched an assault on police personnel in Basti Bawa Khel. The BJP leader expressed that he has entrusted the police completely to make himself aware of what the reason for the murder of his nephew is.
“He was yelling for help, saying ‘save me, save me’, but no one came to rescue him,” stated Sheetal Angural.
