The tableau crafted by the Punjab Government for the Republic Day parade – 2026 is a distinctive fusion of spirituality and the altruistic spirit of sacrifice to promote the noble principles of humanity, compassion, and religious values.
A designated spokesperson revealed that the display consists of two sections – Tractor and Trailer.
The Tractor segment of the tableau features a Hand symbol radiating a spiritual essence that represents a humanitarian and compassionate perspective, the divine ‘EK ONKAR’ (God is One) illustrated in a rotating fashion at the forefront, alongside a cloth bearing HIND DI CHADAR inscribed on the same, representing safety for those seeking refuge from persecution.

This place is located right in front of Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib in Delhi. The square is known for the daily recitation of Shabad Kirtan, which is held here as part of regular religious practice.
Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib stands at the site where the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, attained martyrdom while defending the principles of religious freedom and human rights.
The side panels at the site depict the martyrdom of Guru Sahib’s devoted Sikhs; Bhai Mati Dass Ji, who was sawn alive; Bhai Sati Dass Ji, who was wrapped in cotton and set on fire; and Bhai Dyala Ji, who was boiled alive in a cauldron. These three were close companions of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and, inspired by his teachings and ideals, willingly embraced martyrdom in the highest traditions of humanity and sacrifice, the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, observed the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 23 to November 29, 2025. The occasion was marked with great reverence and solemnity through a series of religious events.
For the first time in history, the Punjab government also held a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha at the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial, making it a unique and historic event.
The religious observances began with an Ardas at Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib in New Delhi on October 25, 2025. Several Nagar Kirtans were organised from different locations, including Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo, Faridkot, and Gurdaspur, all of which converged at the holy city of Sri Anandpur Sahib. In addition to these, Nagar Kirtans and other religious programmes were held across Punjab to commemorate the historic occasion.
